Intro to Polytools.co - A Collection of Free Online Utility Tools for developers and common people

Polytools.co is a side project that I work on in my spare time. It's a website that serves as a collection of free online utility tools for developers and common people to help them get the most out of the internet.

 Here is a list of free utility tools that you can use right away by visiting the tool page:

Random Number Generator

Our Random Number Generator, this tool allows you to generate random numbers with constraints on min and max values. For example, when you set a minimum number of 10 and a maximum number of 100, it will generate random numbers between 10 and 100. 

Ping a Web Server

If you want to ping any website, server, or IP address to measure the latency, this tool is built for you. All you have to do is just put the address to ping in the input field and click the "Ping Address" button.

You will get the following result from the pinged address:

  • HTTP Status Code
  • HTTP Schema
  • HTTP Request Method
  • HTTP Version
  • HTTP Content Type
  • HTTP Latency 

Just so you know, you can also use this tool to check if a website or a server is reachable or down at the moment.

UUIDv4 Generator

UUIDv4 is a randomly generated worldwide unique identifier that consists of 32 hexadecimal characters. It is often used to uniquely identify entities in a variety of applications. Simply click the "Generate UUIDv4" button to generate a unique identifier using this UUIDv4 generator. This tool might be beneficial for you in situations where uniqueness is required, such as database entries or session identifiers. 

Of course, you can just generate the UUIDv4 to see an example of UUIDv4 characters.

URL Encoder

The URL encoder tool is often used to encrypt URLs and assure data transmission safety. Any special characters in the URL are replaced with encoded versions. This tool is especially useful when working with URLs that include special characters like spaces or punctuation marks. Using URL encoding can help to avoid problems and guarantee that data is transferred correctly and securely. It is a widely used technique in web development and online communication.
